Turn every email into A little bit of promotion

Maybe you just have a logo signature. Maybe you don’t have a signature at all. But think of the possibilities if every time you email someone, (new or existing) you get a free chance to tout a promotion, the benefits of working with your brand or even just a reminder of your newsletter. They’re already a contact, up-sell them!

Step 1: implement an html signature

There are two main ways people incorporate their signatures. The first is an image attached to the bottom, the second is one built in code – HTML, which allows you a LOT more freedom to get creative and create clickable links to your promotions. Don’t be scared off, though, just Google ‘email signature generator’ and there are plenty of free sites online you can use – you just need to input your details

Step 2: create multiple versions

Every good mail manager has a place you can store multiple versions of your signature. On top of creating a regular one you can fall back on, build one with a banner, buttons. Nothing garish, but make it obvious! If that’s too tricky, just create a clickable link – though many of these online generators should have options for the inclusion of buttons

Step 3: use smart marketing to generate leads

There are plenty of marketing resources online, or just go through some of our older posts to find ways to be more effective. Create a few of these ‘marketing’ signatures and swap them in and out as you hold promotions or have events and enjoy another stream of leads!
